On Larry Harding's ginseng farm in Maryland, Harding and his crew, which includes his son, Tyler, friend Brian Boomer and neighbor Edward Ross, can pick about 40-60 lbs of wild-simulated ginseng â meaning it's planted beneath the natural shade of trees. With the high price of wild ginseng, up to $1200 per pound, thieves have targeted his crops multiple times, who Harding has caught on securtiy cameras hidden around his property.
