Out of Prison, Still Doing Time

Douglas Bolden, 52, finished serving a three-year prison sentence more than five years ago. He is a single father, taking care of four children in Fort Myers, FL. In the time since he has been out of jail, Bolden has not been able to find work. He can’t leave the children at home alone, and can’t afford daycare for the youngest ones. He does his best to make ends meet and turn his life around. “As long as I stay here in Florida I’m not going to have a fair chance,” Bolden said.
